Our Unhinged Democrats

It saddens me that my party -- the Democratic party -- has to be such nuts when they're in power.

One, they don't make the slightest effort to fall in line for the common good. Each one needs to be the Grand Poobah of the day, with it always being their way or the highway. We're fortunate to have the presidency, but the members of Congress feel no obligation to help the party along or the president's agenda. Not when they have their own little beef and own little fiefdom to guard.

So we have idiots like Dennis Kucinich, who said he would be willing to be the one vote that brings down health care reform as it now exists and could pass. Because it doesn't pass muster as to his very pure standards. So we would simply allow all the effort to fall by the wayside, all the folks who would be covered to wither up, die, and blow away. For the sake of this egomaniac's purity.

As far as I'm concerned, these idiots should've fallen in line back in August and got the SOB done. But no ... let's postpone it till Christmas. Then after the first of the year. Now maybe before April. If they wonder why we're not excited to contribute to the Congressional Democrats' Reelection Fund, look no further than these missed opportunities.

We're already seeing you can be in the minority and gum up the works for the other guy. Unfortunately, though, the Republicans tend to have a little more discipline when they're in power. It's our guys who don't know what they're doing. Which is very sad. Because we're the ones with the ideals. It's just we elect all this human garbage who won't act on our ideals.

If you can't get what is perfect, at least get something .... stupid.

The other unhinged Democrat big in the news these days is Eric Massa. This guy's a turd. Good grief, do we know how to pick 'em?!

The Loyal Opposition

Hearing Michael Steele and the Republican talking heads (which I haven't actually heard that much of, since I more or less refuse to watch the cable channels the majority of the time) -- but hearing them in snippets on the internet or in reports -- crowing about winning a couple of governor races is a sickening thing.

This ought to make every Democrat want to redouble our efforts for 2010. But we need help! The help we need is for our Democrats in Congress to get their heads out of their butts long enough to get something done in a positive way for the people.

Enough bickering. Enough of every man and woman in Congress wanting to be President For The Day. Get some party loyalty. Get some party discipline. If you can't go along with the Democratic agenda -- and I'm looking at Joe Lieberman -- then get out! If you want to be a Republican, if you're rooting for the Republicans to win, if you're going to support the Republican candidates for Congress as you supported the Republican nominee for president, then, I'm sorry, we don't want you and we don't need you.

I want the Democratic leadership -- and I'm including Barack Obama in this -- to develop a spine like steel, and some fists to match. And not only get things done, but get them done in a bold, positive way. I believe people will reward them -- the base, moderates, and independents -- if they start governing like people with some ideals.

When they do that, we won't have to suffer Michael Steele and the Republican crooks the day after the election in 2010. But the time is now. Get your heads out and look at the light of day. Take a survey of the landscape as it is. And get something done, you idiots!

Amen To Joe The Nerd Ferraro

I want President Obama to clunk some heads. The Republicans, if he can. But I'm talking about the Democrats, because he must.

I'm a Democrat and I am sick practically to death that the Democrats are not seizing this moment to get some great Democratic things done. Oh no, it wasn't enough to get a Democratic majority. We do that and what do we find, we have a whole wing of the Democratic party who are Republicans in Democratic clothes. Good grief!

I want someone to put the squeeze on them. Play hardball. Break their political kneecaps if that's what you have to do. Put their political manhood in a vise and do some crunching. Let them know if they betray us it will be the last time they dare do so! Something like that. I want a party with some discipline. You either go along with the principles of this party or we'll find someone who does.

Away with Max Baucus! Away with Joe Lieberman! Away with Ben Nelson! If we're going to have a Republican senator from Nebraska anyway we may as well have a Republican senator!

I like this comment by Joe the Nerd Ferraro, speaking of President Obama's health care speech coming up Wednesday night:
I want the low growl that says we are going to get this done. I want to hear an attitude that says, “Any Democrat stepping out of line at this point is done. Not because I say so, but because every person who worked for me last year will be ticked off. Do you seriously think any volunteer will work for you next year if this opportunity is squandered?”
Amen to that! "Any Democrat stepping out of line at this point is done." You got that?
